This is where art begins to live

At Mazaggs, art becomes an integral part of the hotel. In collaboration with the dd.g collection, a curated selection of works is being created that can be experienced permanently within the hotel and gives the spaces a unique character. This is complemented by rotating solo exhibitions in the hotel and its in-house art gallery. The Artist-in-Residence program brings new perspectives to Mazaggs and opens guests’ eyes to contemporary art.

Experience art

In addition to its rich history, art is at the heart of Mazaggs. It defines the character of the hotel and turns every stay into an experience for all the senses. In every suite, in the public spaces, and in the art gallery, guests encounter carefully curated works by contemporary artists—ranging from paintings and sculptures to installations. Each piece tells its own story and blends harmoniously into the hotel’s overall concept.

Artists in Residence

We provide a platform for artists. Whether established names or up-and-coming talents, the Mazaggs sees itself as a platform for creatives whose work sparks emotions, discussions, and new perspectives.
During regular “Artist Weeks,” artists work right here in the hotel—guests can watch, ask questions, and become part of the creative process.

Your host for art

The host himself—Didi Gstrein—has been bitten by the art-collecting bug. He has an extensive network in the art scene and is passionate about supporting emerging artists. At Mazaggs, we aim to create an atmosphere where you feel welcome from the very first moment—attentive, approachable, and delighted to connect with guests. Art plays a key role in this: it creates a special ambiance while also providing plenty of material for inspiring conversations. Our art host will gladly guide you through the collection, share fascinating background stories about the works and their creators, and transport you to a world full of beauty—and sometimes full of tension.
